# Early Signs of Dementia Checklist

## Are you concerned about dementia?

 

Over 400,000 Australians currently have dementia. However, the early signs of dementia are often very subtle and may not be immediately obvious.

**Common symptoms include:**

- Confusion
- Personality change
- Apathy and withdrawal

It’s important to find out if you or your loved one has dementia as early on as possible as it can be a complex and lengthy process to get a diagnosis. The sooner you get a diagnosis, the sooner you can get the support you’ll need.
